Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, has asked parents to beg the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to end their strike so that the nation’s public universities can be re-opened. Shehu also condemned the recent extension of the strike by four weeks, saying that the government is trying to meet some of the demands given by the lecturers.
According to Shehu, the extension of the industrial action came at a time the president is giving full commitment to resolving the ASUU strike.
The Ogun state police has sent a stern warning to Christian’s that conduct prayers inside the forest. The police warned against this because of the possibility of getting kidnapped during a prayer session in the forest.
They said that despite their constant warning to desist from such acts some Christians still continued with the prayers.

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai on Wednesday revealed what will make him run in the 2023 presidential election. El-Rufai while speaking on the general elections said he would only contest as a presidential aspirant or a running mate to the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi if President Muhammadu Buhari insists.
The Kaduna State Governor, however, stated that he has no intention to contest in the presidential election.

A federal high court sitting in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital has disagreed with Governor Godwin Obaseki on his decision to ban residents of the state who are yet to be vaccinated from entering public places. The Court in its ruling on Tuesday in a suit with reference number: FHC/PH/FHR/266/2021 filed by Charles Osaretin told the Governor to stay action until some matters are settled.
